This weekend was epic. Using the words of an 11-year-old guest. Epic.

Such an honor to host a marriage celebration at our home. The backyard transformed into a beautiful and serene gathering place. People gathered to celebrate. Laughter, lights, music, food and lots of love filled the air. It was magical and I am thankful.

How often do we dismiss the opportunity to go for it? The nudge we feel telling us to step out and do the unordinary. To be brave and vulnerable and courageous.

How often do we put off moving forward for fear of failure? Waiting on every single piece of the puzzle to present itself.

But when do we start putting the puzzle pieces together?

I used to suppress and hide behind these nudges, also. My inner-critic would shut me down quickly. Telling me all the reasons why now was not the right time. Reminding me of every obstacle keeping me still, stuck and scared.

What if I told you there is NEVER a right time.
There is only NOW.

Now to say yes to starting that dream business.

Now to say yes to attending the bible study.

Now to say yes to applying for the school.

Now to say yes to running a marathon.

Now to say yes to starting the blog or writing the book or singing the song or making the move, or opening your home to host a wedding celebration or letting go of doubt, disbelief, and approval of others.

See how liberating that is!

Do you know that feeling in the pit of your stomach that won’t go away? The reason you’re feeling stuck or trapped is that you’re allowing the right time to keep you that way.

Release yourself. You hold the key to your freedom.

The world waits for your gifts. Your skill. Your talent. Your perspective. Your story.

God placed these attributes in your life to make you a megaphone for His glory.

Stop playing small. Stop hiding and waiting on the right time. Small steps of faith are what it takes.

• Whose life would be completely transformed by your willingness to say YES?
