Do you believe that weakness is God’s way of limiting us from doing too much by our own strength?
We know that Paul boasted in his own weaknesses – he delighted in weakness and insults and hardships and persecutions and all of the difficulties he faced – why?
So that the flesh could be denied.
So that the power of God could be revealed.
Praise God that we endure weakness in our flesh and in this life.
Praise God for hard days and stressful situations.
Praise God for moments when we don’t have an answer.
Could the very things we deflect be the gift of God – nudging us to REST in Him. Revealing to us just how powerful He is.
Calling us to lean into Him.
Rooting and grounding our faith to take hold and mature in Him.
I can’t see His power when I’m depending on my own strength.
Perhaps it’s time to remember truth of God’s word. His grace really is all we need – for His power works best in our weakness.
Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. 10 That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
