I love sharing helpful tools and resources with my community. There is an abundance of information available to us online – I’ve narrowed down a few of my favorites for you here.
Food – Recipes & tips
Below are a few of my go-to sites for all things food. My food journey has brought me to understand that we are each uniquely made. What works for your body may not work for mine. Being aware and intuitive to our bodies is key. Food is our fuel and should be viewed as such. Use the links below to explore and practice what works for you. Feel free to click and share.
- Dr. Joel Fuhrman – Author of the book Eat to Live, I was introduced to Dr. Fuhrman during my time at IIN. His approach to food is mostly how my body thrives. Plants and as many whole foods as possible.
- Gluten-free Goddess – Karina’s site is packed full of gluten free recipes. Since becoming GF, I’ve used many of her recipes. I really enjoyed her Lemon Blueberry Muffin recipe!
- Dr. Josh Axe – This list would not be complete without a link to this guy. He is a wonderful resource on all things wellness, but shares lots of insight into Keto lifestyle and intermittent fasting. His YouTube channel is packed full of tips, resources and solid information.
Fitness – Routines & Videos
The resources below are all links to exercise routines easily done in your home. We live in a beautiful time of technology that affords us many opportunities and options when it comes to work-out regimens. I always say there is never a substitute for getting outside and taking a walk in nature or a run by the water. Just get moving – anyway you can!
Inspiration – Books & Blogs
I’m a growth and inspiration junkie. Give me all the feels and I’m on it. Positive, uplifting and challenging reads and listens are what keep me moving forward. I’ve shared a few of my favorite people, books and podcasts with you below. My hope is that inspiration will seep way down deep inside of you – giving you fuel to pursue the path ahead.
- The Bible – This is not a cliche listing. This is first and foremost my only and main source of inspiration and truth-finding. I’m humbled to know the source of my inspiration, the positive joy I seek and the great reward on this journey is my Savior – Jesus Christ. Every book, podcast or article I ingest filters through the lens of the Bible.
- The Bible Recap – Tara-Liegh Cobble (TLC) is truly gifted in guiding us through reading the entire Bible in chronological order in 1 year. She uses the YouVersion Chronological Bible reading plan and offers a 7-9 minute recap each day to breakdown the scripture reading. If you are inspired to read through the Bible in 1 year – this is the plan for you. Super insightful and life-changing tools.
- The Untethered Soul – This book by Michael Singer is one of great insight. If you are living life unaware and in a robotic state – this book will inspire you to see your life in a new light. To live surrendered to the plan God has for you, to live open handed, connecting with your thoughts and emotions as they bring true freedom and clarity to your life.
- Switch on Your Brain – Dr. Caroline Leaf does an absolutely amazing job at walking us through the power of our brains in connection with our bodies. She guides us through Scripture as she points us to the powerful abilities we’ve been given to renew our mind.
- Over it and On With it Podcast – I’ve been a fan and follower of Christine Hassler for years. She is a life coach among many things, but mostly she shares her wisdom in walking us through unlocking mental and emotional blocks. She shares how to use these very obstacles as opportunities for growth. Christine coaches listeners on her podcast and shares valuable insight in each episode. Listen to her Here.
